Alex Remy
I operate independently at the intersection of vineyard, wine, market, and people.
I am a French-born viticulturist and oenologist with more than two decades of international experience across France, New Zealand, Australia, Tasmania, and the United States. Over the course of my career, I have worked across vineyard strategy, winemaking, sensory analysis, fermentation management, aging programs, product development, and commercial execution.
Before launching my independent practice, I served as Chief Marketing Officer within the Atlas ecosystem, where I helped shape brand strategy, innovation, product architecture, and market alignment across Atlas Vineyard Management, Atlas Wine Co. and Opal Moon Crush across California, Oregon, Washington, and Texas.
Earlier in my career, I advised some of the world’s leading wine producers — including Kendall-Jackson, Diageo, Opus One, Mumm, Chandon, Gallo, Constellation Brands, and Concha y Toro — with a focus on maturity assessment, sensory evaluation, fermentation strategy, aging programs, and research and development.
My work has always centered on creating alignment: between vineyard and winery, production and market, technical rigor and commercial reality. At Atlas, that included helping shape initiatives such as Opal Moon Crush and the Bulk Specs Program, connecting vineyard metrics, winemaking goals, client service, and bulk wine opportunities into more integrated and scalable systems.
Today, through Alex Remy — Wine Advisory | Partnerships | Performance, I work selectively with wineries, growers, investors, entrepreneurs, and operators to structure wine projects, develop strategic partnerships, and connect people, wine, and opportunity.
My advisory work includes:
wine program architecture, from vineyard to market
bulk wine and private label strategy
production, brand, and market alignment
strategic partnerships and business development
leadership, performance, and organizational guidance
In 2021, Wine Enthusiast named me one of its 40 Under 40 Tastemakers in recognition of my work in wine accessibility, education, and innovation.
I believe the best outcomes come from clarity, alignment, and execution. I also believe that great wines should be honest, technically sound, and commercially relevant.
Outside of wine, I am an endurance athlete, with experience in Ironman and ultra-distance trail racing. That perspective continues to shape how I think about resilience, leadership, structure, and long-term performance.
